Barnes metalwork French escutcheon Artisan Made Black artists played a vitalOur latest custom metalwork is inspired by a keyhole, also known as an escutcheon, on display in Room 20 on the West wall. Dr. Barnes collected metal works and displayed them in ensembles alongside paintings to signal that craft requires the same level of artistry as painting. This decorative key plate was made by blacksmith Steve Bronstein, at Blackthorne Forge in Vermont. Visit our Print Shop for more inspiration to create your own ensembles.
